On Sunday morning, we were going to go get up and see the Louvre', but decided to sleep in instead and then take the subway to MonMartre, to see the large cemetery and Sacre' Couer (Sacred Heart).

The view of Paris from Monmartre hill is spectacular!

And another very wonderful street performance!

A picture I took of the Sacre Couer
I would have taken pictures inside, but there was a Vespers Mass going on. Anne and I sat in on it for a little while, but I didn't understand the French and since a Vespers mass is different than a traditional Catholic service, I didn't understand what was going on.
Then back to Audrey and Laurent's via the Metro.

Oh so thrilled to have this picture taken.

When we got back to their home, Mrs.
Schecroun's mother and three aunts were there, spending some time visiting with
eachother while everyone was in town for the Bat Mitzvah.
We then had some hang out time before going to dinner, so we watched Ally McBeal with French under titles (It's actually kind of a fun show.) And I, of course, took more pictures.

Something which
Madame Schecroun has in her
office which I really liked.
We then went to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant where I had shrimp pasta, and Anne had a salmon pizza which I tried, and which was surprisingly very good! (I never would have thought about putting salmon on a pizza in the states.)

After dinner, we went for cocktails at a cabana type place near Bastille, (near Fabienne) which is near where I lived last time I was in Paris.

Me having fun with my camera, as Audrey and Fabienne do an
impression of someone.
It was so good to get to see old friends again. It was awesome to hear the passion of Audrey and Laurent's music and to hear how much it has progressed in the last three years since the last time I saw them. It was so overwhelming to be able to drive across Europe as if it were any every day activity. I really enjoyed my time in Paris and am honored to have gotten to spend it with such great people!
On Sunday, we got up, said "until next time" ou "Au Suivant" and Anne drove through Paris...which I'm sure was an experience in itself (she must have done well with it, because it seemed perfectly normal to me), and we got on the road and were back in Germany by 6:00 Monday evening. It was a great, great weekend!
Ask me sometime about running out of gas on the Autobahn in Germany. It's a funny story.
