Donnerstag, 26 Mai - Montag, 30 Mia

Samstag, 28 Mai

We got up in the morning and Laurent and Audrey took us down near Notre' Dame, where we had ice cream at the best place in Paris to have ice cream, sat by the river Seine, and saw a street performer named Fan Fan La Marguerite!

The ice cream place--across from Notre Dame.

TIP #9  Have some small change (or large change if you can afford it) on hand for the street performers.  They're pretty good!

Then we walked around the side of Notre Dame, where we departed from Laurent and Audrey, who had to go set up for the Bat Mitzvah party of their cousins, and Anne and I walked around the front and went inside!

TIP #11  If you like looking at the inside of churches, take some time for Notre' Dame, and if you have a problem with crowds, don't go on the weekend.  People were pretty respectful inside the cathedral, but there are a lot of people there on the weekends.

We then took a 5 minute walk to the San Michel fountain, where we caught the Metro back to Place le Charles de Gaulle (which is where the Arc D'Triomphe stands--nearby Audrey and Laurent.)

The Family (including Francois-Left) all were dressed to the nines to go to the Bat Mitzvah, so of course that gave me an excuse to take more pictures!
