Samstag 19 Mai

On Saturday afternoon, we went with AIESEC from Oldenburg to Cloppenburg.  Cloppenburg is a city of about 30-50,000 people, and in the city, they have a living museum, much like Centennial Village in Greeley.  They took old houses and equipment from all over Germany and put them together into one place for everyone to see what life used to be like.  It was cool to see!

Laura (Spain), and Annu (Finland) on the train on the way to Cloppenburg

Kevin standing next to the big wheel of a machine which used to be used to plow the fields.

Built in 1638, you can actually go up inside of the windmill and see how it was used to grind grain.

This is the backhaus (baking house)  The part to the left is the brick oven, which is still used to make bread and other goodies to sell to tourists like me.

Time to take the Niedersachsen train back to Huntemannstrasse

This is Huntemannstrasse #2.  I live in room 506.

Then later on, Michael (my buddy from the University) had a birthday party in the basement of Hermann Ehler's Haus, so we went over for his celebration!
