WINTER EVENTS IN THE MOUNTAINS ABOVE, AROUND, AND IN KEYSTONE, COLORADO
Come in late October for the annual Wine in the Pines wine tasting at the Keystone Conference Center, and the Hallo-Boo Bash costume contest/trick-or-treating. Or come in November and see the lighting of the gigantic Christmas tree in River Run Village.
The winter holiday season is filled with visits from Santa,
Frosty, Rudolph, and the Christmas Moose. Also enjoy caroling, music, ice
carving demonstrations, children's crafts, sleigh rides, & ice skating
shows.
In addition, Keystone offers Christmas Eve Church Services at the Keystone Conference Center and a spectacular New Year's Eve celebration stretching from River Run to Keystone Village!
February features a fun Fat Tuesday celebration
with
beads, parade, street party
and the best gumbo you've ever tasted. That's followed by the Arrowhead Winterfest, A day of
sampling and great prize giveaways in the base area of Keystone Mountain,
the Luna Chase Snowshoe Race provides fun for everyone from
the competitive expert to the beginner with giveaways
from Atlas Snowshoes, Petzl Headlamps, Ben and Jerrys, Cliff Bar,
Mountain Sports Outlet and KYSL.
That is followed by the MOUNTAIN DEW VERTICAL CHALLENGE, which encourages skiers and riders to race against the clock in a dual slalom format, offering a day of fun on the slopes and a chance to win awesome prizes from Mt. Dew. Was it mentioned that the race itself is FREE and open to competitors of all ages? That is followed by awesome St. Patrick's Day and Easter celebrations, with a smattering of great events offered in between!
