If
you want to view all of my pictures from Shanghai, just click the
buttons on the left to view the photos by day. (Shanghai is from
July2-July 4). This page is a collection of some of my
favorite photos from the days when we were in Shanghai. |
Shanghai is a VERY modern city!
But it still has touches of the past... this bronze Buddha behind Deanna
is over 50 feet tall!
The famous Nanjing road, where you can shop to your heart's content.
And the world famous Shanghai acrobats
A view of just a small part of Shanghai at night
Dragons guard the gate of a garden in Shanghai
A beautiful house in the garden in Shanghai
We had our best shopping time here! This is what you picture when
you picture old historic China.
I'll tell you a secret... the whole street and shops didn't even exist
five years ago. It's all been built since then.
Further troubles with translation. Oh well!
Again, to emphasize the point,
Shanghai is a VERY modern city! The tower in front is the 3rd
largest TV antenna in the world... Each level also is part of a
hotel, and the top ball is a spinning restaurant. The building to
the right with the tall spire is the fourth tallest building in the world,
and Shanghai plans to build the world's tallest building alongside of it.
Construction will begin soon.
A panoramic view of the financial center of Shanghai from our walk along
the Bund.
