If you are using Netscape the buttons above won't work.  But if you would like to, using Netscape and Internet Explorer, you can also see my travel to Germany pictures, travel tips, and stories on an index page with summaries of each day.  That way, you can learn more about studying abroad before having your own study abroad experience!

a map of Germany I lived and studied at the German university in Oldenburg which is near Bremen, and about two hours east of Hamburg, Germany.  Clearly visible on the map are Hannover and Berlin, Germany.  When I go back, I'd like to visit Hannover and Berlin, as well as Cologne.  Also, I'd like to visit more German castles, Because I only visited two in Nuremberg.  Click on the buttons above to see pictures and advice about studying abroad in Germany (and traveling advice for France), which will load in the viewing window, or click the links below to go to strive4impact.com's other pages.
REI backpacks for study abroad in Germany or elsewhereREI backpacks
One of the most useful things I had in Germany was an REI all-purpose internal frame backpack.  It was really durable and very useable when I took it on trains, used it as a pillow in airports, and even used it to carry groceries.  (You bag your own Germany food at the German grocery stores).  It definitely was something I needed, and worth the cost for how much it got used and abused.  Click on camp/hike on the REI web site.
