This is the section of Strive4Impact.com, where you can read, every day, something I wrote since I was 13 years old (1993).  Some of it's adolescent angst, but some of it is quite good, and I hope you'll agree.  What are we up to now? Currently, my wife and I are traveling the world and blogging our experience.  We may have been somewhere you would like to go, or maybe we could come to meet you?  Either way, you may find our reviews and advice helpful.  Check it out at http://www.CarrieAndJonathan.com

The Truly Great

January 1995
Jonathan is 15

A person who does math well knows formulas and rules.
However, a mathematician finds the rules without ever needing to know formulas.

A musician knows notes as well as perhaps scales, intonation, and harmonics.
However, a musical master could compose great music without ever knowing how to read a note.

An athlete knows his limits and the limits of the game that he plays.
However, a legend pushes those limits farther than they will go.

The people of this world often understand things without ever feeling them. However; those that push the limits farther than they go, those that strive for impact, those that don't regret things they've done because they know they've done their absolute best, and most importantly those that feel what they do in their heart, will become great in this world and beyond.
